On Tuesday, CUPERTINO, California, Sept 12 (Reuters) – Apple (AAPL.O) unveiled a new iPhone 15 Pro with a titanium case and faster chip that enables better graphics and mobile gaming, moves designed to respond to a global smartphone slump.

Both the Pro and other iPhone 15 models will have a brighter display and a 48-megapixel camera as well as 100% recycled cobalt in their batteries.

Apple said the iPhone 15’s satellite connectivity can now summon roadside assistance. It is rolling out the feature with the American Automobile Association (AAA) in the United States.

The company confirmed rumors that it will switch to USB-C from its proprietary lightening charging cable with the iPhone 15. That means users will now be able to use the same charging cord to power their iPhones, iPads and Mac computers.

The press event, which Apple teased with a “wonderlust” tagline, is taking place at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California.
